The first one is that the experiment succeeded!
As I prepared the return from Curse, following TES Valenia's reassignment due to the war, I convinced my escort to allow me to scan one more time for a suitable set of thermoelectric convertor field projectors out in space. Our way back took us anyway along several Jove observatory systems.
I did not have much confidence that we would find anything, since I have not had any success the entire week. But today turned out different! In G-G78S, among the many signatures, there was a pristine set of convertors.
There were some pilots in system that would make the operation dangerous, were it not that they were blue, to my surprise. Three I-BLU pilots, out here in Curse. I wonder what they are doing here, but I was too excited by my find and to eager to do the planned experiment so I did not disturb them for a chat.
I got to work, and managed to get the Sleeper projectors to work and to stabilize a wormhole connection. TES Valenia had me targeted the entire time, and was getting nervous, already regretting having consented to this ultimate attempt. I could perform the experiment and confirm the hypothesis! I am too excited right now to sort out my notes and tabulate measurements and write it all up, but will do so shortly.
The second piece of good news is that we will soon have another conversion ceremony.
Ms. Yubari has made great progress and I think she is ready! We have many pilots among the various corporations in LUMEN that are not of the faith, but from time to time, as they get more acquainted with the faith, they decide to convert. It is always a source of great joy and celebration when they do!
