Duty calls.
I answer.
Over the last two days, I continued to slowly decipher what I could from the comms station. I still have no idea what caused the fatal accident at the station. After the accident, the comms went into a standard emergency broadcast. It kept sending the call after Layla died - from the consumption of food I think she lived for about a week. Then her oxygen went out and she passed. I feel for her, alone in this small safe room, no-one answering the distress call.
After about a month, comms suddenly stopped. I don't think the battery went out slowly. Probably the first looters appeared. My guess is that they took whatever powercells there were still in the station, and that stopped the broadcast. Probably they stripped most of the other equipment they could get their hands on too. They didn't find her, or they didn't care.
Oh, I found out Layla's last name: Accadis.
